Listen to light with this cheap and easy project;
-solar panel from yard light
-headphones
Take the headphones and cut them about a foot from the plug.. save the headphone jack for later.
Carefully strip the four wires of the headphones.
Twist together the two positive and two negative, so headphones have two wires instead of four.
Open up the solar light, and remove electronics.
Find positive and negative wire coming from solar panel, and connect them to headphones wires.
Hot glue makes a great sealant, or just use tape.
Before sealing, check that it is working by holding solar panel close to a bright light and listening,
Different types of light make different sounds.
Though it isn't very loud, of course you could connect to an amplifier plug instead of headphones.
And transmit sound threw the light waves ;
-cut off headphone jack from earlier
-AA or AAA battery
-flashlight
Strip the four wires of the headphone jack, and combine the four into two like we've done before.
Tape or glue one of the wires onto flat end of battery,
Cover with tape or glue, then put the other wire on top, so the battery power runs threw the wire.
insert battery into flashlight and plug jack into music.
The lights should not come on until you plug the music in, now you can listen to music threw light!

Prayer flags are used to grow peace, compassion, strength, wisdom..
Hang them in your garden or anywhere to grow the good vibrations.
Any old cloth will do; old shirts, pants, sheets, etc....
First cut or tear cloth into the size squares or rectangles as you like.
Next create joyful designs, write meaningful words.
Any dye or ink can be used. For this example i used sharpie markers.
As dye spreads and fades, the wind carries blessings.
Now put four holes in the top of each flag to thread threw the string.
OR, you can fold the top of the flag over the string and staple closed.
SIMPLE HYDROPONIC BOTTLE
items needed: EMPTY BOTTLE, ROCKS, ROOTED PLANT, PAPER TOWEL
Cut a plastic bottle in half. The top-half will become the plant pot.
Find some rocks.. Broken flower pots and lava rocks were used here.
Take a larger rock or hammer and crush rocks to smaller rocks.
Take a plant that is well-rooted from sitting in a jar of water,
and wrap the roots and bottom of the plant in paper towel.
Stick paper towel down into the upside-down bottle-neck.
This is so roots stay wet while growing down into the water.
Gently add the crushed rocks around plant to help give support.
Water until reserve at the bottom is at least touching the paper towel.
(As you can see in this experiment, the hydroponic plant is doing much better than the regular potting soil plant)

EZ HOME-MADE
CANDLES
CANDLES
:)
-WAX
-HEMP STRING
-HEAT SOURCE
-POT OF WATER
-NEWS-PAPER
-JARS
-Collect enough wax (from old candles, crayons, honey combs, ears)
-Put a few layers of newspaper,or papertowels, in bottom of the pot.
-Place jars of wax in pot (paper towels protect jars from direct heat)
(i used the 'mother Mary/saint Peter' candles found in dollar stores)
-Fill pot with water, turn the heat on high, and wait for wax to melt.
-Cut hemp strings about twice as long+ as the jars, fold them in half.
-When the wax has melted, turn off stove, and begin dipping strings.
-Dip in an out, hang it up, and move on to the next string, and repeat.
The string is folded, so two are dipped at one time.. This also makes it easy to hang the candle strings.
The wax builds layers to make candles. As wax begins to cool, wax sticks more, so the process speeds up.
The candles are ready when you are happy with the thickness, or run out of wax.
Also a few drops of essential oils may be added if you wanted scented candles.
